Evan Creutz

Evan joined Sea Shepherd Legal as a Staff Attorney in July 2020. Prior to joining, Evan practiced for multiple years as a general litigator with international law firms in New York and Miami and served as a law clerk to Senior United States District Judge James G. Carr, United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and to United States District Judge Marcia G. Cooke, United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. In addition to his extensive legal experience, Evan’s deep appreciation for marine life led him to work as a scuba diving instructor in Southeast Asia, Hawaii, and the Caribbean, where he spent enumerable hours encouraging others to become good ocean stewards. Evan is a member of the Bars of Florida and New York and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Evan received his law degree from the Fordham University School of Law, where he was Notes & Articles Editor of the Fordham Law Review and received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in English Literature and Psychology. Evan has published materials addressing a wide range of issues in federal civil and criminal law.
